THE GULFTwo lesbians. One boat. An ocean of secrets.
When Kendra and Betty set out today, they didn't expect anything more than a regular day fishing the Gulf of Mexico. But there's change and dying dreams in the air forcing them to see just how far they're willing to go for one another and just how much they're still invested in their relationship. A love story of the sort that we don't normally see on stage, THE GULF explores the ways deep love can rot and warp when lovers fail to see the person who is really in the boat with them. Is it possible to see who is standing in front of you? or are we are just dreaming? THE GULF was first produced as a first year lab production as part of Tel Aviv University's Department of Theatre Art's MFA in Directing program, in June 2023. |
